About Us

Who We Are

The Delaware Working Families Party (DE-WFP) is a grassroots political party building a movement to elect people who will better the lives of the multi-racial working class in Delaware.


We accomplish this through recruiting, training, and supporting candidates and organizers and then supporting them through elections and issue campaigns. Unlike other third parties, we do not only run on our own ballot line. DE-WFP candidates can be of any registered party, and run in primaries, as long as they support DE-WFP values.

Platform

In the 2024 legislative session, we are mostly going to be focused on universal free school meals, earned sick time and safety leave, and addressing cost-burdened renters.

  • Universal Free School Meals - making sure that all students are able to get breakfast and lunch and school, regardless of thier ability to pay

  • Earned Sick Time - ensuring that all employees have access to time off if they are sick or seeking safety in a domestic violence situation

  • Cost-Burdened Renters - keeping costs down so that people are not forced from their homes due to rising rents
